Binsted Football Club recognises the positive role that photography and social media play in celebrating grassroots football, promoting teamwork, and sharing players’ achievements within the football community.
As an affiliated club competing in the NEHYL, we follow the safeguarding guidance issued by The FA regarding the use of photographs and video involving children and young people. Player welfare and safeguarding will always remain our priority.
The club uses Spond to manage parental consent for the use of player photographs and videos on social media, the club website, and promotional material. Consent preferences recorded within Spond will always be respected by coaches, volunteers, and club officials.
In line with league procedures, photo consent information is also communicated to opposition teams via the matchday teamsheet system. Clubs are required to complete the relevant photography consent section before fixtures, allowing both teams to understand and respect any restrictions regarding the use of player images.
The club will:
Ensure photographs and videos are appropriate, respectful, and focused on football activity.
Avoid publishing personal information alongside images, including surnames, schools, contact details, or locations that may identify a child.
Never allow photography or filming in changing rooms, toilets, or other private areas.
Respect the wishes of any parent/carer who does not consent to their child’s image being shared publicly.
Ensure opposition teams are made aware of any photography restrictions through the teamsheet consent process.
Encourage parents and spectators to use social media responsibly and avoid tagging children by full name online.
We ask all parents, carers, coaches, and spectators to support a safe and positive environment by following FA safeguarding guidance when taking and sharing images at matches or training sessions.
Any safeguarding concerns relating to photography, filming, or online behaviour should be reported to the club Welfare Officer immediately.
Thank you for helping us keep football safe, enjoyable, and respectful for every player.
